EDUCATION
Emmanuel Baptist Fellowship seeks to nurture Christian formation by offering rich learning opportunities which challenge both mind and spirit. Our adult classes change quarterly. Adults choose their classes based on their own interests and needs for growth. They are not segregated by age, gender, or marital status. Each quarter we offer in-depth Bible studies. Occasionally we may also offer topically-driven classes which focus on a book or a particular Christian practice, such as centering prayer.
Before Bible study we have a time of fellowship and offer refreshments. Bible study is from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. We value and encourage honest questions and probing discussions in these classes; they are an excellent place for spiritual growth and for friendship building.
Our Current Offerings in Bible study:
- Beginning in October adult Sunday school is studying the future of faith by Harvey Cox
- Wednesday evenings we are studying A New Kind of Christianity: Ten questions that are transforming the faith by Brian McLarin
- Children's literature is by Cokesbury
