COVENANT

We the members of Emmanuel Baptist Fellowship are united in the faith that Jesus the Christ in His incarnation, ministry, crucifixion and resurrection reveals the heart of God. As followers of this revelation, we do joyfully covenant:

To gather regularly for the worship of God so that we never forget the gift of love that redeems us;

To love and serve each other as brothers and sisters as Jesus Christ loved and served us;

To recognize and appreciate the uniqueness of each member and encourage each person to grow to maturity and to share his/her gifts to the glory of God;

To persevere in study so that our minds will always be open to truth and to deeper understanding of the riches and depths of God;

To recognize the value of all human life and to commit ourselves to “do justice and love mercy;”

To be light in darkness, seeking as faithful stewards to show forth the good news of God’s grace both at home and throughout the world;

To be a mother church that seeks to create kindred fellowships in surrounding communities.
