MISSIONS
Emmanuel seeks to be a missional church, living out our faith in missions and community service. The missions team provides leadership to the church in seeking ways to make a difference locally, regionally, and globally.
The purpose of the missions team is to share the love of Christ in our church, the community, and the world through education, encouragement, and empowerment. We strive for social justice, peacemaking, and wholeness as embodied in the person of Jesus Christ.
Membership on the missions team is open to any church member desiring to participate. Emmanuel welcomes any new and creative ways of doing redemptive ministry. Church members are encouraged to make us aware of ministry needs and mission opportunities. Each member is also a minister, and we seek to encourage and support one another in our individual and corporate service.
Emmanuel Baptist Fellowship also partners with a number of other organizations that help us to extend the reach of our own ministry. Some of our projects and partnering organizations include the following:

"From Grief to Joy" Support Group
This is a monthly grief support group available for any adult who has experienced the loss of a loved one. It offers an opportunity for those who are mourning to discover together a healing path through their losses. The losses will vary, but sharing the experience of loss with others is often the first step in moving through the journey of grief.
Group meets the 3rd Tuesday evening of each month from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at
Emmanuel Baptist Fellowship on Hwy. 378 (4766 Sunset Blvd., Suite B, Lexington).
Group is offered free of charge*. No pre-registration required. For more information, call
(803) 407-3185.
*Group is fully funded by Caughman-Harnian Funeral Home as a community service
